Where did you grow up?
I grew up in Hawaii, on the island of Oahu.
Have you lived anywhere else other than the Eastern Shore? If so, where?
Yes. I have lived in Hawaii, California, Florida, and Blacksburg, Virginia.
Have you traveled a lot? Where are some of the places you have been?
Internationally, I have traveled to England, Ireland and Asia. I have also traveled all over the United States, including Minnesota, Washington, Oregon, Georgia, Indiana, Texas, Illinois, North Carolina, South Carolina, Maryland and Arizona.
In what year did you begin your career in real estate?
I began my career in real estate in 2013.
What originally got you interested in real estate?
I earned my bachelor’s degree in environmental research science and completed post graduate work at Virginia Tech in urban and regional planning. Working in real estate allows me to combine these two interests! I have always been interested in the environment, so I love working in a destination spot and helping people see what there is to enjoy about the Eastern Shore…whether they are renting a vacation property or purchasing a home.
What do you enjoy most about being a real estate agent (or your job)?
I enjoy helping people find their perfect vacation home so that they have the opportunity to enjoy the Eastern Shore.
EASTERN SHORE CONNECTION
Why did you settle on the Eastern Shore?
I came to the Eastern Shore because my husband got a job here.
What is your favorite outdoor activity on the Eastern Shore?
My favorite outdoor activities on the Shore include going to the beach, gardening, horseback riding and hiking.
Do you prefer the seaside or bayside of the Eastern Shore? Why?
I prefer the bayside because of the public beaches!
How long have you lived in your current home?
I have lived in my current home since 2009.
How do you relax after a hard day of work?
After a hard day of work, I like to spend time with my two daughters. We enjoy going to the movies, reading and walking our dog Dippy (who we rescued during the first nor’easter we ever experienced here!)
If time and budget were unlimited, what would be your dream adventure?
I would like to go back and visit Hawaii, and I also would love to go on a cruise vacation. Perhaps I could combine the two!
