Where did you grow up?
I grew up here on the Eastern Shore in Eastville.
Have you lived anywhere else other than the Eastern Shore? If so, where?
I lived in Blacksburg, Virginia for four years during college. It was a nice change of pace being in the mountains, but I came running back to the beach!
Have you traveled a lot? Where are some of the places you have been?
I would love to travel more. Some of my favorite places I’ve been are Paris and the British Virgin Islands. I’d love to make it to wine country in Italy one day.
In what year did you begin your career in real estate?
I began my career in real estate in 2021! Prior to joining the Chesapeake Properties team I served as executive director of the Northampton County Chamber of Commerce.
What originally got you interested in real estate?
It’s in the family! My mom (Keith) is an agent with Chesapeake Properties and my grandmother was an agent in the Hampton Roads area. It seemed like a natural fit and I couldn’t be happier with my decision to join this industry and Chesapeake Properties.
What do you enjoy most about working in real estate?
I love helping families experience the Eastern Shore through their vacation rental! So many of our guests are visiting Cape Charles for the first time and they instantly fall in love with it. It’s so satisfying to hear their feedback and know how much they treasure the place we call home.
EASTERN SHORE CONNECTION
Why did you settle on the Eastern Shore?
When I went to college, I couldn’t wait to get away from small town life. With some distance I quickly learned how truly special this place is and knew I would be back to build my life here and be close to family. I couldn’t be more grateful for the relationships I have here and the support system in our town. I can’t imagine a better place to spend my time and raise kids one day.
Do you prefer the seaside or bayside of the Eastern Shore? Why?
I love both of them equally! I’ve been both a “Baysider” and “Seasider” in my life and truly can’t decide. They both have such unique qualities!
Beach or boat – if you had to pick one, which would it be and why?
Definitely boat! My favorite place in the world is the Smith Beach Sandbar and it can only be accessed by boat; same with the Barrier Islands.
How long have you lived in your current home?
I just purchased my first home in Oyster this spring!
How do you relax after a hard day of work?
After a hard day of work I relax with a glass of Chatham Vineyards Rose on the beach at sunset.
Where do you usually go (or what do you do) when you have time off?
On days off you can find me somewhere on the boat with my fiancé and our friend. We’re so blessed to have the most beautiful places to explore out on the water.
